Jimmy Rip (Television, Tom Verlaine Band) and Jay Dee Daugherty (Patti Smith Group, Tom Verlaine Band) were mainstays in Tom’s musical life throughout his many artistic metamorphosis. With the addition of Jackson Smith (guitar, Patti Smith Band) and Chris Lightcap (bass, Nels Cline Consentrik Quartet) this band, is presenting a night of Tom’s music spanning his whole career. “We miss playing these songs almost as much as we miss Tom, and with these shows we’re hoping to keep his beautiful, bright spirit shimmering”
