About the event
In this sixtieth anniversary year of legendary rock band The Doors’ first thrilling live audiences in 1966, Long Island’s own CARNIVAL DOGS proudly presents a live concert experience billed as “A WINDOW INTO THE DOORS.”
CARNIVAL DOGS brings back to life the music of The Doors with note-perfect precision—and an unblinking collective eye aimed at helping their audiences to “break on through to the other side.” The band’s origin point begins with Anthony Pomes, who channels the iconic Jim Morrison persona onstage and performs in the group under the moniker “Tony Jim.”
A longtime session guitarist and freelance writer, Pomes first connected a few years back with professional organist Dylan DeFeo (“Dylan Ray”). Finding kinship in shared embrace of all things Doors since their respective youth, Pomes was soon after introduced by DeFeo to fellow musicians (and friends) guitarist Alex Cipollone (“Alex Robby”) and drummer Sean Sokol (“Sean John”).
